This weizenbeer has a surprisingly full and spicy character thanks to the added cardamom. This is what gives this unique beer an oriental flavor and a mild finish.

Bottled. Hazy ambery brown colour with a mediumsized foamy off-white head. Aroma is wheat, some grains, yeast, mild toasted notes along with some spices as well. Flavour is wheat, mild toasted notes along with some ripe fruits and mild brown sugary notes. Not a that typical dunkelweizen...

Hazy medium amber colour, fair somewhat fluffy off-white head, good retention. Aroma wheat, apricot, citrus, bubblegum, spices (cardamom, ginger), vinous notes. Sweetbitter taste, yeasty, spicy, sour notes. Medium body, oily to watery texture; bitter spicy finish, sour notes. Nice interesting nose, spices too prominent...

Bottle from Lemmys, Leiden. Poured a hazy medium amber with a round white head. The aroma is yeast, rich citrus fruit and some vinous notes. The flavour is light acid yeast with a veggie watery light bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Smells better than it tastes.

330ml bottle. Hazy dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Undefinable herbal aroma. Taste is minimally sweet and tart with an herbal and spicy touch, notes of coniferes, lavender; minimally soapy touch. Pretty f...ing far from Dunkelweizen.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy dark amber colour, off white head. Aroma of cardamon, ginger, light wheat. Flavour is spicy, cardamon, hint of cloves, refreshing wheat, light bitter finish with some ginger notes. Light bodied, soft carbonation. Very spicy brew, but it works for me.

33cl bottle shared with Thompson. Cloudy, murky orange-brown color with no head. Smell ginger or some other herbs and sweetness. Taste sweet, ginger and dry. Don’t like it. Low carbo, low to medium body.
