Mahogany hazy look. Moderate ivory head. Stays as a layer. Powerful malts deliver melon, caramel, toffee. Burnt sugar, tropical notes. Medium to full body. The flavour is not sweet, it is just used to be. Nutty, fruity. Another Kees beer that made me smile.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Unclear dark brown body, filmy, bubbly layer, dotted spots on the glass. Restrained aroma of bread and brown malts. Mixed malt-fruity flavours of dark bread, honeyed fruits, marmalade and grainy caramel. Lingering and warming end, bittersweet. Full bodied. Fine as a slow sipper on a Saturday afternoon (Tromsø 04.02.2017).

Bottle. Piny nose, very hoppy, orange, caramel, big stuff. Cloudy, bright orange-brown color with a low, lacy head. Tangy, malty flavor, pine and orange, a bit of vanilla, toffee. Very soft and silky with a dry finish. Hides the alcohol well.

Hazy amber oranges. Very big sweet malty with apples, oranges and caramel nose. Good thick malty mouth, low carbonation, sweet but never cloying. Alcohol well hidden. Rounded. Not as aggressively bitter as I like.

Bottle at level 42. Cheers! It pours deep reddish - brown with small off-white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, spicy, gingerbread, fruitcake, toffee and candied peel. The taste is chewy upfront, sweet, sticky, brown bread, dried fruits, fruit cake, panettone fudge toffee and warming alcohol. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. A bit too sweet and boozy, but not bad for the style.

0.33 l bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666 and Goran. Thanks! Murky amber, medium off-white to tan head, loads of sediment. Alcohol, dry fruits, mostly raisins and sugar. Very strong, sweet, but not to much. Medium body, quite aggressive. Very good, although not my favorite from the stronger beers from Kees.

Bottle from real ale, newark. Ruby colour with no head. Toffee and caramel aroma. Sweet alcohol taste. Smooth flat body.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours clear orange with a bubbly white head. The nose holds dried citrus fruits, pale bread, grains, wood. Medium to big sweet flavour with ripe berries, gooey white grapes, pale bread. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, with more gooey citrus, pale bread, white grapes, marmalade, light caramel. Sweet, good stuff.

Bottle shared on Level 42 12/12/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A reddy amber coloured pour with a halo of white head. Loose beige head. Aroma is sweet, toffee, burnt toffee, apple. Flavour is composed of sweet toffee, and burnt brown sugars, stale grains apple, apple. Toffee. Palate is semi sweet sticky, moderate carbonation. Warming alcohol.
