La Moneuse is named for A. J. Moneuse (b. 1768), a famous local bandit and gang leader, and ancestor of the brewers’ family. It is a classic "saison" beer by virtue of its strength and its earthy, aged quality. It has a hardy, semi-dry malt character, a fresh but not overpowering hoppiness, abundant yeasty, fruity flavors and a fairly strong, but pleasant and enticing mustiness.

750ml Bottle - Light amber with a foamy head. Peach, spice, yoghurt and apricot in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with fruity and spicy notes vying for attention. Peach, apricot, sultanas, spice and yeast can be detected. Very easy to drink considering the abv.

hazy orange colour, huge, slightly yellowish off-white head; aroma of barnyard, earth, some minimal citrussy and sulphurous notes and hints of overripe sweet fruits; taste of malty-overripe fruity sweetness, earthy notes, bread, minimal bitterness, spicy notes and some alcohol; great Saison, though it could be a bit less sweet

Nice hazy dark golden color with a fine off white head that last. Good lacing. Some yeast, banana and wheat. Nice smooth body with a fine carbonation that made it easy to drink. Was worried that it was a bit to high carbonation because the enormous head. But it was very pleasant to drink. Moderate sweet and an ok bitterness. Somehow it felt like a hefe weisse. Lovely balanced flavor with some yeast, mild banana, whaetish and mild spiced. Really lovely ale.
