Bottle from a Tutta Birra, Milan. Poured a reddy brown colour with a fading off-white head. Muted nose with some sweet malt and dark fruit lurking, but not much doing. Similar story in the flavour but the palate was thin with no real depth. Balance a bit skew whiff. Distinctly underwhelming. Have come to expect a lot more from Flying Dog.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong fizzy head. The aroma is lightly roasted, bitter and toffee. The flavour is bitter and roasted with a long lasting vinous and fortified wine finish. Overall a reasonable strongly bitter and malty beer.

Aroma of citrus, spices, nutty notes, and a bit of caramel. The taste is green apple, toffee, spices, nuts. Leafy hops in the finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle. By far the worst beer I’ve ever tried from Flying Dog. Reminds me of a bad malt liquor. Sweet and alcoholic.
