För 651 år sedan invaderade Valdemar Atterdag Gotland, och ett avgörande slag mellan gutar och danskar streds vid Ajmunds Bro. Under sommaren 2011 har bin samlat in honung från exakt det här området, vilken domineras av nektar från raps och blåklint, men med inslag från en massa olika växter. Honungen samlades in sommaren 2011, och direkt efter det började vi jäsa mjödet på den nyslungade honungen. En minnessten finns redan upprättad vid platsen för att hedra dem som föll i slaget, och nu finns även ett hedersmjöd med honung från området kring bron 650 år efter striden.

ABV: 11.4%. Clear light yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate honey, nectar, herbs, light earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, honey, nectar, herbs - herbal, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. Bottle, tasting event at Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen
Very pale blond color. Mild aroma of stale bread. The mouthfeel is medium dry, there is some rapeseed mead flavor, light bread, some bitterness, light fruitiness.
Rather chaotic.

Sample from bottle @ Mikkeller, Stefansgade. Clear champagne colour without head. Aroma is sweet, honey, flowers and herbal. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish with warming alcohol. 120414

bottle at tasting at mikkeller and friends, clear yellow, no head. slightly bitter, slighly herbal . falvor is quite swet, herbal, tea leaves, apples.

75 cl bottle. Pours pale yellow with no head. Aroma is dry herbal, spiced and dry honey. Dry cornish. Mild sweet. Medium dry, clean honey. Light fruity finish. Quite simple and straight forward.

Bottle. Almost clear pale yellow with no head. Aroma of fruit and some light honey. The taste was sweet with fruit, some honey and light herbs. Descent.

Bottled, thanks gnoff! Almost clear very pale yellow. Floral nose where sweet honey is evident. Sweetish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Honey and white pepper, distinct floral notes, a hint of boiled vegetables. Vinous finish with some soothing honey.
