I höstens honung från Kvillingeslätten fanns inslag av det mesta: raps, vitklöver, hallon, lind, rölleka, aster samt bladinslag från lind och sälg. Ingen blommas nektar visade sig särskilt dominant, vilket blivit till ett mjöd med väl balanserad smak. Göran Pettersson har sin biodling på Kvillingeslätten öster om Norrköping, men slungar den på gården Karlstorp i Rejmyretrakten med hjälp av Stefan Göransson.

Bottled@SBWF2012. Very pale silvery yellow colour, no head at all. Aroma and flavour are both rather floral with some herbal and grassy notes along with the slight honey sweetness. A not all too sweet mead, which also has some slight tart wooden notes towards the finish.

The color is very pale yellow. The aroma is delicate and nice, with apples, then flowers, light grapes. Very dry mouthfeel, weak, leaving room for some fermentation byproducts, light phenols, bitterness; it’s a bit flowery and fruity too. Weak final.

Bottled, thanks gnoff! Almost clear pale yellow. Distinct spicy nose with lots of herbs. Dry and grainy, relatively slender bodied and vinous. Long herbal bitterness. Pleasant, complex dry mead, but without any clear distinguishing features.

Bottle at mead tasting on November 2, 2012.Clear pear color, no head. Sweet, floral, berry scent, also alcohol. Sweet, mild, honey taste. Honey aftertaste. Medium to a bit spritzy mouthfeel, tart finish.
