Acidulated white wheat, raspberries and an inoculation of lactobacillus in the fermenter give this American ale its tart, fruity taste. Low hop levels let the special sour flavors dominate, and rice syrup helps yield a particularly light finish and body. This is a real summer refresher.

12 oz can. My can lists the ABV at 6.5%. Aroma is real raspberry, SweeTarts, grain. Pours a bright red hue, like Hawaiian punch or something, with a collapsing pink head. Taste is sour (7/10) and acidic with lots of raspberry flavor. Perfectly fine carbonation, a little watery. I was going to make a joke about how this recipe is based on a slightly altered Bud Light Lime Razberita, since they’re owned by the same company, but alas, I can’t bring myself to do it. This is actually really tasty.

Can: Dark red, purplish in color. Big raspberry notes to go with the Berliner base; taste is fresh and vibrant. This is beautiful. Thrilled to have this available in cans alongside the Cucumber Crush.

Can from Boise Co-op. Deep pink hue in the body, instant foamy pink head, faded to ring. Prominent berry jelly jar aroma, fruity. Taste also features the fruit, but not so much to obscure the solid Berliner base. Dry finish, lingering sweet berry flavors. Another killer crush from 10 Barrel.

Draft pour at the chucks hop shop sour event. Pours a bright glowing pink color with a foam ring head. Funky wheat like aroma with mild berry. Flavor is raspberry syrup dominant with a light finish. Tastes light, but big on flavor. Enjoyable beer, and quite different. Not bad. UPDATE: 12 oz can. Newer batch with a higher abv. A more refreshing flavor too if you ask me. Thick, tart juicy red raspberry. Refreshingly tart and delicious. An excellent berliner.

Hazy pink in a snifter. Modest white fleeting head. Lots do tart raspberry right up front. Dry and tart flavor. Tap list says it has some hibiscus in it. Also days it is a good introduction to the "sour world". True. It is tart but palatable. Lingering teeth squeeking feel.

Drank at GABF 2012 in Denver. Pours a cloudy brown/red color with a small white head. A big nose of tart fruity and light brett. The flavor is light on the sourness or funk but big on sweet natural raspberries, a light dusty lemon bite. Good.

Tap at OBF. Pours strawberry pink. Extremely fresh raspberry aroma. Near med body. It is quite tart and freshly raspberry. A little wheat shows as the raspberry lifts a bit. Finishes tart.
