Bottle from Deconinck. Hazy dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of blood orange, orange peel, pink grapefruit, peanut, dried tea leaves, red grape. Taste has bittersweet blood orange, red apple & pink grapefruit juice, some caramel & peanut, a bit piney. Dry, herbal-piney hoppy finish, mix of red fruit & bitter citrus rinds, well-hidden liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Call it what you want but it's a good beer!

500ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour with ruby glimmer and average, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Very intense, hoppy and malty aroma, notes of caramel and toasted peanut, orange, marmalade, red berry jelly, hints of oxidation interfere as they come in with a touch of glue and cardboard. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty with aspects of toffee and nuts (hazelnut, Brazil nut), bitter hoppy counterpart with hints of marmalade, a minimally papery touch; well hidden alcohol. Full body, nevertheless rather watery texture, minimally sticky palate. Nice sipper whose excellent balance on a high level entraps you to accelerate the frequency of sips up into excessive areas.

Dark, dark brown with minimal head. Aroma full of molasses, toffee, prunes. Taste is pleasingly sweet, well balanced with a quite mild, roasted bitterness. Big heavy body. Mmmm. Wish I had a bottle of this one!

Tap at CBM JInbocho. Red brown colour, not much head. Aroma is dark fruit, cherry, plum, boozy sweetness, apple, maybe cinnamon or slight spice. Taste is nice, vinous, bit of brandy, fruity again, raisins, fruit cake, disguised booziness. Quite smooth, but very full on, almost spirit like body.

Bottle. Oily citric hops and red berries in the aroma. American hops, no doubt about that! Massively hoppy peppery flavor. Oily. Very bitter, citrus. Warming alcohol. Full bodied and malty, with a hint of salt. Extremelty long hopbitter aftertaste. The massive hopgift destroys the balance of this beer, that is brewed well with first class ingredients. Too much of everything, this beer.
