Bottle 2 years past bb date. Murky dark brown with small off-white head. Yeast, funk, caramel, brown sugar, a hint of spices, red fruits and some red wine. Taste is sweet, but nicely balanced with a light sour note. Medium bodied, soft carbo. Very drinkable. Overall nice stuff, held up well.

Typical christmas beer, malty, yeasty and with lots of spices. Nice, but a bit too sweet.

330ml bottle. Clear dark copper colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity aroma has notes of red berries, a yeasty touch. Taste is initially moderately sweet, unspecific fruity and spicy yeasty, slightly herbal, later more and more dry, grainy, minimally soapy. Soft palate, soft, micropore but minimally prickling carbonation.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is yeast, malt and treacle. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a rich liqourice, sweet fruit, yeast, malt and alcoholic palate. The alcohol is well controlled for 8.5% and it was certainly a rich and heart warming beer. I liked this. One of the better beers from Hillegom.

Sampled at OBER Kerstbierfestival 2012. Dark red colored beer with a small off-white to beige head on top. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, wood, alcohol, caramel and a hint of hop. Wow, this is actually way better than I had expected! Total surprise from Klein Duimpje. Very nice.
