Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. I can’t believe we didn’t do the Klein Duimpje joke when we drank this?! It’s almost as funny as the Lou Pepe. Hazy russet colour, thin beige head. Good fruit I thought. OK, fruity beer.

(bottle) Hazy, dark copper colour with a beige and thick foamy head. Sweet and toasty malty aroma with caramel and fruity notes of berries and cherries. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly yeasty taste with notes of caramel, berries, raisins and spices; slightly sweet and yeasty bitter finish with a present alcoholic touch. A warming and spicy Winter Ale, decent stuff. 23.I.10

Bottled (BB 12/2008)
Ruby red color, good beige head, creamy and steady. Oak wood and ginger in the nose. Crisp carbonation. Nutty malty with light spices - some hops in the finish. Straightforward ale, alcohol is quite evident especially in the finish. Ok Christmas beer.

The beer pours with a strong milky head that never goes away. Aroma is overly estery covering up all the other aromas of the beer; very tangy. In the taste the esters work fine enough and it finishes with light black bread, rummy fruit cake. A bit watery body and a light bitterness at the end.
750mL bottle with rubber cork, Stella Artois goblet glass.
