From notes sampled Aug 19 2010 at Eb’s Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a smallish white head that quickly scatters. Smells earthy and herbal with a bit of a bready, sweet honey and funky edge. The flavor is like a saison but with a bit of a minty herbal edge. Bubbly dry fruity beer with a bit of tart and funk. Medium to light body with a crisp mouthfeel. Definitely a different beer, but not really to my tastes.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, at One Pint Pub, shared with brunnsbe, 20120725) The beer poured muddy orange. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had spices, malts and green salad. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, sweetness, fruitiness, green salad, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had spices, green salad and bitterness. An interesting brew. There was some quite acrid bitterness that I associate with dandelions but it worked well.

Vintage 2003
Light hazy light orange coloured beer, small white head. Aroma of pineapple, plastic, cheese, fenugreek, somewhat tart/sickly. Light sour aroma, herbal, light acidic. Light soapy fenugreek cheese. Finish light acidic, spicy, barnyard.
Quite special and enjoyable in it’s own right.
(From 75cl bottle @ ZZT IV. Thanks for sharing, Countbeer!)

Vintage 2003 version @ ZZT4. Hazy orange, head quickly gone. Smells salty, cheese, ’brie’. Tastes sweet and sour, fruity, somehow it’s fresh. Low carbo, medium body.

Refrigerated green bottle poured into a white wine glass at Jeremy’s Friday tasting. Pours deep golden with humongous white head. Medium lacing, medium body, medium carbonation, and spice aroma. Taste is spicy yeast, tart lemon, and a hint of herbal. I can think of only one saison that I may like a shade better.

75 cl bottle, BBE 06/2013
Blind tasting @ lusikka
Very high viscosity – looks like a hair gel. Aroma is sweet and sour with belgian yeast, fruits and citrus. Very thick palate. Flavour is tart and sour with some alcohol, fruits, rhubarb and farmhouse aroma. A bit messy with all the sourness and dryness. I guessed this to be a 7% saison.
