Bottle. Hazy amber with a large, fluffy white head. The aroma was light sour with spices, lemon, barnyard and some light notes of alcohol. The taste was dry with spices, lemon, barnyard and some brett. Refreshing stuff.

Bottle at my CBC birthday, London, thanks to Paul. Pours cloudy gold with a fluffy, white head. Tangy lemon and grass in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with tangy lemon and doughy malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly drying on the finish with mild grassy bitterness, more dough and tangy, zesty lemon. Drinks impressively well.

Bottle during Leighton’s birthday celebrations. It pours cloudy orange, with a thick foamy white head. The nose is herbal, hay, straw, touch of spice, floral and medicinal. The taste is orange, lemon, white grape, grapefruit, hay, floral, light spice, sour tang, medicinal and herbal, with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and great balance. Delicious.

75cl Bottle, bought at the brewery, thanks Harmen! The weirdest pouring beer I’ve seen so far, looks very slimey and syrupy. Muddy light brown colour, looks like liquid Werther’s Original, soapy off white head. Aroma is sour, light floral, a bit fruity. Flavour is rather bitter, floral, tart-sour, hint of caramel, sour-bitter finish. Slimey mouthfeel, thick, lots of carbonation. OK. 526312 Re-rate, 2012 version. Less slimey texture, smoked malts in both aroma and flavour, quite prominent, flavour is quite (honey) sweet. No sourness. I’d say it’s a new beer. 736313

750 ml bottle courtesy of Stefan. Pours very hazy brownish golden with a big frothy white head that leaves lots of lacing and trace while slowly dissipating. Smell is tiny sweet, slightly sour and floral with dusty barnyard, plums, dandelions, crackers, lemon juice, lemon balm and hints of alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly sour and slightly bitter with bread, dandelions, lemon juice, unripe plums and hints of barnyard. Mouthfeel is creamy and tart. Finish is bitter and tart with lemon juice and dandelions.

75cl, BB 06/2013, bought at Fantôme.

Bottle that I picked up at Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgium opened this up at Kernel Brewery, London 07.01.12 in company of Loz, Lynn, Barry, Nick & Anna and also shared with Ang, Nate & Thomas. Lovely aroma, little spritzy and zesty at first, the colour is a hazy yellow with large white head. Nice fresh aroma, little yeasty and maybe I get the dandelion maybe I don’t not sure, however I really like this, great beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

5/12/2011 75cl bottle @ home - BB: 6/13 (2011-691)
Very high viscosity, really weird upon pouring. Cloudy orange beer, weird thick slimy head, like when stirring hard in a bucket of wall paper glue. Aroma: sweet ripe to rotten fruit, medlar, some citrus. MF: little carbon, very thick slimy body. Taste: pretty sour start, bitter notes, oranges, little sweet and grassy. Aftertaste: more sour acid touches, spices, bitter dry ending. Extremely weird, both in MF and in taste.

750mL bottle, split 3 ways, pours cloudy with a medium white head. Aroma of orange zest, champagne, and lemon. Flavour of sour fruits, sour funk, and lots of yeast. Unusually think palate with a heavy sour funk finish. The flavour isn't that unusual, but the strangely thick palate makes for an interesting experience.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Gotta give this another shot. Herbal nose, dandelions, some cramel, chalk, lemon. Tart, icy, funky. Lemon, sme caramel and bred, quite funky. Spicy yeastiness. Quite tart adn funky. Roped bottle, August 2011, Delirium, Brussels: 7/3/7/1/13=3.1 Strangest looking beer. viscous, with bubbles lifting yeast floaties to the surface like a lava lamp. Tangy, funky citrus nose: tart, lemon, herbs, hops. Very flavorful, with lemony herbs and bitter hops. Viscous and slimy like oil or phlegm. The strangest body in history: velvety, airy, oily. Great flavor but the body is simply gross. Don’t know if that was from the dandelions or if it’s old...
