Vintage bottle, printemps 2004. Cork and leather dry nose, hazy orange, low head. Quite dry, almost Orval-like, triple-sec layered on top of the barnyard notes, light herbal. Chewy medium body, mellow sparkly mouthfeel. It probably wasnt designed to be kept that long, but it turned out great.

Ausgewogen hefiger Heruch. 11/10/10/11/11/11

cloudy yellow, smooth white head3 orange, flowers, yeast. Flavor is citrussy and sour, almost like lambic (6,3,7,3,15) re-rate 2015-12-15 75cl bottle from ølbutikken. cloudy dark yellow almost orange, smooth white head. soapy leathery aroma, not very strong aroma, also some stale hops and some belgian yeast. flavor is soapy, dry, yeasty, slightly sweet. does not at all resemble lambic this time, hardly any sourness, but a grapefruity bitter ( no fruit ) belgian yeasty bitterness instead. older rating stands.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Cloudy amber beer. Sharp and crisp start leads to sour fruit that is refreshing/ Long sweet and sour floral finish. A cracker of a unique beer. Would dearly love to have tried the Special version!

Pours dark golden color with minimal off white head. Aromas of malted barley and that Fantome smell (although not as strong as some of their oher brews). Flavor is slightly tart with some sweet malts, mild bitterness and some earthiness. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Another enjoyable beer from Fantome.

750 ml. Hazy, deep golden body. No head whatsoever because there is no carbonation to speak of which is disappointing right out of the blocks. The aroma has notes of grass, lemon, toasted grain, leather, cobwebs. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic and lightly bitter. The finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, moderately to heavily acidic. Medium body with a thick, smooth texture, no carbonation. Tastes like very sour orange juice with barnyard and flower flavors. Badly balanced compared to classic saisons. The lack of carbonation is a major flaw. Very disappointing especially considering how much this cost.
