750 ml bottle at Pizzeria Paradiso. Recommendation from Brian. Cloudy orange, almost no head. Aroma of barnyard hay and corn husks. Tastes of lemon and grapefruit, slightly sour with a very short very slightly bitter finish. Interesting. 7-4-7-4-14-3.6 Next try, Dec 31, 2017 courtesy of Franco, grazie! Seems to be a totally different beer - brown color, massive ice cream cone head. Sour funky burnt caramel aroma. Taste is spiced sourdough brownies. Whoa.

Bottle, c&c, from South Bay Drug. Joey is the man! Pours a hazy light orange with no head, just three bubbles. Aroma is lightly sour, slightly funky, and suggests a hint of bacon. Makes no sense. Just my nose. Medium body with very mild carbonation. Flavor is citrus, floral and somewhat woody. The funk is not strong, but it persists. Kind of funk for the joy of it. It is so mildly sour, so mildly floral, so marvelously tasty. It’s a really, especially, good saison. With time some wood attacks the bottom sides of the tongue. Going damn well with coconut chocolate chip cookies. Well, one big cookie.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Tart, floral, lemony aroma. Tart, lemon citrus flavor with light floral notes and a bit of malt. Borders on sour. Medium bodied. Lower carbonation. Light malt, tartness, and lemon lingers.

2003 vintage. Bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts modest sweet, quite spicy. Reminds me of sorrel. Finish still spicy, a bit sourish, lets me think of a spontaneous fermented beer. Very good. Thanks to Koelschtrinker for sharing this beer with me!

Bottle, 8%. Grassy hoppiness, dry hop aroma. Slightly hazy golden colour. Small fizzy white head. A little citrus flavour, quite lemony. Some dry hoppiness combined with the citrus makes it taste slightly lambieky. Dry finish. Quite high carbonation.

Thanks to SHIG for sharing this, bottle, pours hazy orange with a frothy white head that just covers the top of the beer but stays all the way down. Aromas of lemon, hay, and sour lambic. Taste is sour with a bitter dandelion finish. I agree with SHIG, this has a barnyard funk, but it mellows in the finish.

Bottle: Poured a hazy burnt orange with a off white head. The aroma is spice, grass/hay, and floral. Taste is tart and bitter with what seems to be spices and apples, definetly barnyard, and yet smooths off at the end.

(6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Hazy orange. Aroma of funky house character, yeast and fruits. A rather dry flavor, slightly tart, with some nice bretty funk and fruits and some bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied. Lovely.
