2017 rating: Tap, Vrteška. Opaque murky amber body. Phenolic sweetish yeasty aroma, creamy, a bit dry. Taste... phenolic and bitter notes, creamy, bitter finish. This is just... meh. Honestly. Not sure how much this changed from 2008, when it was genuinely nice, but this was one of the worst beers of the festival honestly... 5/2/5/4/13. Won’t dump the score entirely... a compromise score... 2008 rating: Bottle, RBESG08 grand tasting. Murky apricot body. Nice light lemony nose. A fine, complex taste, funky and spicy with distinct notes of lemon again. Dry. 8/4/8/3/15

Spring 2004 750 mL bottle courtesy of BrianK. Thanks! Dark reddish brown w/ a medium head and good retention. Funy aroma with a tart and sligjtly vegetal note. I was looking at the Dalmatienne label right before writing the review and I wrote that this tasted like dalmations! The dandelion really comes through in the taste, with notes of lemon and funk. Interesting beer.

Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Sweet grapefruit aroma, some camomile and herbal notes. Dry and spicy flavour some citrus acidity, very drinkable. 2003 bottle in 2009: More barnyard aroma, more tart flavour. Exact same rating.

750ml bottle @Vero Beach Throwdown-pours a white ring for a head and cloudy gold color. Aroma is lemon, light malt. Taste is vinegar, lemon, light malt, very dry, yeast. Not my taste. Occasional. Thanks jayg for sharing.

Bottled. Cloudy golden orange color, short white head. Aroma is flowery, slight cheese, soft butter. Sourish taste, cheese, with a dry flowery finish. Fascinating how it covers all the different tastebuds, though not at the same time, but separate from each other.

750 ml bottle courtesy of Secret Santa, Summer 2007. Shared with after4ever and hogfodder on 3/20/08. Pour is hazy orange yellow with an off white head. Aroma of the typical Fantôme bright sour acidic (apple) fruitiness. Taste is solid balance between grainy maltiness and soft yeasty floral hoppiness. Soft and smooth palate. Had this with dinner and it worked really well.

Bottle, 75cl. Slightly hazy, oragne body, topped by a minimal off-white head. Sourish aroma with the distinct notes of torn dandelions. Rather special, but far from bad. Sour and fruity flavor with a wee bitterness and citrusy hints. Astringent, medium body and a sour-fruity finish. Refreshing indeed, but I can’t really decide on what I think. It’s nice, but still it’s not nice. Strange, but fun experience. Rating: 7-4-7-3-14-3.5. 071228

Bottle, 75cl. It pours an unclear, orange body under a small, off-white head that lasts. Very fruity on the nose, with some herbal hints and sugary hints. Some caramel-like maltyness, bitter hints of dandelion, herbal hints and fruityness in the flavor. Medium to full body, semi-dry and maybe a bit low on carbonation. Herbal, fruity-sweet finish with a faint bitterness. An unusual one indeed, still Saison-ish lovely. Already looking forward to my next sample. 121019

750 ml bottle. Hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma is herbal and yeast, a hint of lambic in the aroma. Flavor is wild and sour with some bitterness. Not very complex but definitively not straight forward as well. Strange and nice.
