Pour is a murky brown with a small white head. Aroma is quite vinuos, some candi covered dark fruit but also quite musty and dusty. Flavor is a nice citrus acid followed by caramel malt and a balsamic vinegar bite. A fruity sweet tartness is left on the tongue as this goes down. I have never ate a dandelion so I’m not sure what they bring to the beer. A unique but very tasty take on a saison.

very hazy orange to amber colour, one inch creamy yellowish head; aroma of orange zest, lemon juice, apricot, earthy, linden honey and barnyard notes, as well as bread; taste of overripe apricot, linden honey, some lemony and earthy notes and even some hoppy bitterness and spicy alcohol in the aftertaste; great saison!

Bottle shared at home. Clear copper with short lasting off white head. Honey, sweet malts, some bitter herbs, herbal tea, some green tea, hay, some apricot. Light yeasty with a hint of funk, but mostly quite straightforward. Medium sweet and bitter. A bit over medium bodied with under medium carbonation and soft feel.

Bottle at home. Pours a deep orange-brown colour with a creamy off-white head. Sour aroma of vinegar, forest floor, heather, wild berries, lemon and barnyard. Fruity and sweet flavour with a bitter aftertaste. Notes of flowers, grass, herbs, forest floor and leather. Has a slick mouth feel, medium to full body and a medium to heavy bitterness. A fresh, odd and a little unbalanced saison, both sweet and bitter at the same time.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before end 2016. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas big of lemon, pear, plum, apple, white grape, orange peel, peppercorn, clove, dandelion, hay, straw, wood, leather, light honey, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, dandelions, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, pear, plum, apple, white grape, orange peel, peppercorn, clove, dandelion, hay, straw, wood, leather, light honey, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness, herbal bitterness, and light tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, plum, apple, white grape, orange peel, peppercorn, clove, dandelion, hay, straw, wood, leather, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, dandelions, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from /bitter/spiciness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly sticky, and lightly grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent saison. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, dandelions, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle at Vienna tasting February 2016. Many thanks! Hazy orange colour. Interesting and complex mix of elements in aroma and flavour. I get rose, stone fruits, subtle spiciness, peppery, slightly tart in the finish. Very good and true to style.
