0,75l bottle at Vienna Tasting. BB 12/2018. orange cloudy color, small white head. smells flowery, belgian yeast, spices, light grass, light sweetness, some tobacco. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes lightly citric, belgian yeast, grass, peppery, acidic, flowery, bit musty. finishes lightly dry with notes of belgian yeast and spices and some flowery notes. I quite like this one, nice and refreshing on the citric / acidic side. good stuff.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Peppery nose, citrus, lots of spices. Sweet, light tart notes. Tea? Ok beer, but typical Fantôme.

Bottle. Can’t recall where from, but it’s been down the cellar for 18 months or so. Orange gold. Light haze. Thin, sticky, white head. Toasty, buttery, honeyed malts. Spicy. Gingery. Zesty. Touch of booze. Bready and yeasty. The full works. Taste is spicy bitter, and removed from what you might expect. Really quite grassy and herbal. Full and rich. Zesty, oily bitter finish. Rating courtesy of the missus.

Sample at Kurtkeller 022: Pumpkin-tastic 03 on 10/31/2015. Hazy reddish-amber color with a medium fluffy off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of smoked malt, fruit and hops. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, yeast, fruit and mild hops. The finish is smoky malt and earthy hops, Above average overall.

Bottle. Hazy amber with an inch of near white head that’s soon a coat but never less. Aroma of stern dough, white pepper, grapefruit zest, oranges, some floral notes (although I wouldn’t have guessed dandelions - orange blossoms, mint, thistles, lavender). Creamy texture with moderate carbonation. Fruity with peaches and orange, some odd earthy and woody notes that settle into the mix after a little while. Dry, stemmy almost tannic finish that’s rather bitter. Herbal and citrus notes linger, amaro-like. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. Second glass is a mite soupy. Another Fantôme beer like the others: some intrigue, plenty to like, no sign of problems.
