Apparently, Adam was pretty disappointed when the serpent offered him an apple. And we don’t blame him. This Forbidden Fruit is dark red, softly sweet, caressing and full in the mouth. It is brewed with roasted malt and hops, giving it a typical herbal plant aroma. By the way, it’s not forbidden to have a taste.

0,33l from bottle at Mels Diner. BB 06/02/2016. Cooper hazy color, small off-white head. smells sweet, caramel, light fruity, light spices. decent smell is a bit too sweet though.. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes sweet, caramel, some belgian yeast, light funk, peppery, spices. Finishes lightly dry and with some sweetness and light fruity and marzipan / nutty notes. not a big fan, rather heavy.

Flesje gedronken met Benzai. Licht amber kleurig helder bier. Stevig schuim. Aroma is iets houtig en caramelachtig. Smaak is fruitig en ietsje hoppig . Nasmaak is beetje bitter.

Átlátszatlan, vörösbe hajló barna szín, közepes, tartós hab. Illata nem túl erős, de határozottan búzás, enyhe gyümölcsös vonással. Szénsavas, fűszeres - mintha halvány borsos íze lenne -, komlós ízvilág, amihez enyhe keserűsség és gyümölcsösség párosul. Utóíze enyhén kesernyés, savanykás, az utóbbi sokáig meg is marad. Telt sör.

Bottle at home. Clear amber with white head. Sweet toasted malts, sugar, alcohol, gumball coating, coriander leaves, soapiness, cloves, alcohol, obvious yeast presence. Candy sweet with some stale bitter counterpart. Under medium body, just below average carbonation. Liquid ’Sinterklaasschuimpjes’.

Bottle (gusher). Clear amber body with a massive beige head. Lively fizz. Faint lacing. Aroma of brown bread and spices. Flavour of banana bread, sour cherries and white pepper. Medium body with a smooth texture. Very fizzy. Over carbonated but very flavoursome.

On tap at the Hoegaarden cafe, 23/07/2015. Hazed dark orange amber coloured pour with a lasting speckled off white head. Aroma is sweet orange peel, berry, clean Belgian yeast, coriander, some sweet. Flavour is composed of semi sweet berry, orange rind, spices, Belgian yeast, dry papery finish. Palate is semi sweet, highish prickly carbonation, Lingering berry, red fruit and metal.
