Sample from tap @ Carnival Brettanomyces 2015, in front of the Bierkoning. Dark blonde color. Frothy beige head with good retention. Aroma’s: shampoo, dishwasher, citrus - not too promising. Retronasal it’s spiritus, dishwasher, citrus. Flavor is moderate sour, spiritus. Light bodied. Short finish, weird. Why? Couldn’t finish it, even though it was a sample.

Pours deep hazy brown into a tulip. Tan head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sour cherry, funk and chocolate aromas. Sweet cherry and oak upfront turning to dry funky chocolate in the lasting finish.

75cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, large light-beige head. Aroma of wood, earth, liquorice, grapefruit, some acid, light funky. Flavour is liqourice, light spicy Brett, earth, roasted malts, light peat, berries, acid, grapefruit, firm bitter finish with some sourness. Light to medium-bodied. Nice, but not an easy drink, and could do without the acid.

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2014. Thank you! Dark brown, little mocha,. Thick caramel nose, light soar, oak, chocolate,.. Thick bitter caramel, vinous, sour, hops, brown sugar, malt, light roasted. Tad light malt body. Mixed, far from a successful marriage. Odd beer to put sourness in & the sourness isn’t top.

Borefts. Dark brown with small beige head. Very spicy, lots of sour berries and roasted malt. Really unbalanced, the sourness doesn't work here. Meh
