A dark brown beige-headed beer. The taste is rather light sweet. A traditional beer with high fermentation level, produced in small quantities, using only natural ingredients: hops, yeast, water and roasted malt.

24/IX/2012 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ Erwin's place - bottled: I/12 (2012-1085) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown beer, big aery beige to yellowish head, crackling noise, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, dried fruits, some caramel, sugary, bit dusty. MF: ok carbon, medium bdoy. Taste: malts, bit sweet, some caramel, overripe fruits, hint of banana, some hops. Aftertaste: caramel, candi sugar, bit hoppy, little grassy, bitter ending, some chocolate. I'd maybe call this a Dubbel, but not a Stout, not even a Sweet Stout. There's no coffee or mocha whatsoever.

Fra flaske 0,33l på rommet / Keizershof Hotell i Aalst 30 Apr 11. Sort. Ugjennomskinnelig. Luftig skum som forsvinner helt. Aroma med litt gjær & søt frukt. Smaken likedan. Lite som minner om en stout. Blir veldig honningsøt hele veien.

33cl bottle @ home. Gusher! Pitch black color, huge grey-brown head. Smell coffee and sweetness. Taste sweet and lightly roasty, pretty equally balanced. Decent carbo and body. In the end the beer tastes better than expected.

Bottle, at De Bierkamer. It’s an unclear, chocolate brown beer topped by a small, beige head. It’s fruity with a touch of chocolate and raisins on the nose. The flavor is sweet and honey-ish, with chocolate and some bitterness. Full body. Some bitterness in the finish but it’s mostly sweet and chocolate-ish. A quite decent beer, but it’s too milk chocolate sweet for my likings. 110430

330 ml bottle @ De Bierkamer. Almost pitch black body with a thin beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, candy sugar and honey. Flavor is sweet, but actually less sweeter than expected from aroma, slightly burnt, liquorices, fruity and some chocolate. Not much bitter, but absolutely acceptable.
