A dark brown beige-headed beer. The taste is rather light sweet. A traditional beer with high fermentation level, produced in small quantities, using only natural ingredients: hops, yeast, water and roasted malt.

bottle from beerplanet.eu pours a pitch black pour, head is smooth, plentifull and dark brown. Looks really really good, actually. this one served cold. Aroma is near nonexistant, faint roasted notes, and faint sweet maltish notes, slightly grassy. flavor is sweet malty, metallic, in fact quite metallic, honey, caramel. disturbingly sweet flavor that is more like malts and caramel than roasted malts.

330ml bottle, take away service at De Bierkamer. Lots of dimples atop of an opaque, coal black body. Chocolate malts to the nose. Flavour of chocolate and honey. Way too sweet (shared with Finn at our hotel room in Aalst, 30.04.2011).

Bottle courtesy of Jacob on 06/28/2010. Dark black body with a medium frothy light brown head. Sweet chocolate, fruit and liquorice aroma. Sweet liquorice flavor with lots of dark fruit. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

On first pouring this beer, it looked like it had potential - deep, dark ruby-black color with a maroon-colored head, lively but settled quickly. The aroma was pure caramel, not much else - first sign of trouble. The taste was so incredibly sweet that none of the reviewers could finish it. Nothing to balance the sweetness. Best skipped.

Bottled (Bs, bottled 10/2007). Almost opaque brown color, huge cloudy tan head. Sour vinegar, saccarine and earth in the nose, some berries too. Very very sweet. Flavor is musty and it has saccarine, milk chocolate, mould, iron, plum. Foamy mouthfeel. Way too sweet to be enjoyable and also bottle was not in top condition.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a huge, foamy, light brown head over a dark brown body. Aroma is sour with dark fruits, cheery, and cheese. Taste is cloyingly sweet, with notes of urinal and pennies. I couldn’t take another sip. Sweet stout is one thing, but really?

(33cl bottle) Almost black, opaque colour with a huge brown foamy head. Yeasty, sweet and slightly vinous berry-fruity aroma with lighter notes of toasted malt in the background. Sweet flavour with a tinge of acidity, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Sugary and slightly ascorbic fruity and minimal toasty malty taste; sweet and moderately tart berry-fruity finish with a nasty metallic note, that fades away after a short while. Does not work for me (02.III.09).

Bottled. Dark color, huge frothy dark brown head. Aroma of brown malt, rye, brown sugar, hint of chocolat, toffee. Sweet taste, sugary, rye again. Off-balance, way too sweet.

Dark colour with thick, heavy head that quickly collapses as the carbonation blasts up through the glass. Musty aroma, rather unpleasant. Flavour is sweet and lacking in any element of hop or malt.

Bottle, pours black with a dark tan head. Smells very sweet, honey, syrup, and buttermilk. Taste is too sweet to taste anything but sugar. Wow, I can’t finish it, drainpour
