Bottle from 2011. Can't believe I've never rated this! Maybe not the most representative drinking though. Aroma is a bit more boozy than a fresh one. Rich and fruity. Taste is similar but also has that yeasty malty ovaltine thing that I'd expect. Very easy drinking with a little spritziness at the start then a long fading finish. Little booze burn but very nice stuff.

Intense aroma of hops, chocolate, yeast, porto and fruit (apple, raisins). Very full bodied. Sweet, malty taste with porto, some fruitiness and a alcohol burn. A bit tart. The aroma is more intense than the flavor. Nevertheless a complex and delicious beer, well worth looking for.

While eating my salad, it occurred to me: has there ever been an olive ale? Hmm. Could be good. NB: This beer does not contain olives.
