St. Bernardus Abt 12 is widely regarded as one of the best beers in the world. It is therefore no surprise that it is our brewery’s flagship beer, ranked at the very top of the St. Bernardus beer hierarchy. It is brewed in the classic quadrupel style and adheres to the original 1946 recipe. This is a dark beer with a robust head that is ivory in colour. EBC 60.

Bottle from Deli Belge, Sowerby Bridge. Brown with an off-white creamy head. Has a good mix of Belgian yeasts and darker malts in its aroma with this fusion providing a smooth taste and reducing the impact of its strength here, although its alcohol content is more evident in its aftertaste.

First time. Sometimes big beers don't taste as good when they finally make it to Japan. I think that's what happened here, tho still good.
