0.33 l bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with thick beige head. Nose is intense fruits, slight chocolate, all this on a prominent malty base. Taste is fruits, grains, yeast and with warming some alcohol appears too. Medium to heavy body, lively carbonation. Superb, well-rounded beer.

wow.......if you cant get westy 12, this is just as good. excellent! aroma of dried fruit, and caramel. nice big fat frothy head. absolutely a piece of heaven.

Pours a dark brown that commands respect. Unfolds a complex aroma of dried fruit, caramel, alcohol, roasted nuts. This is toffee beer incarnated. Nice and earthy. There is a great depth to the aroma. Still, where I once worshipped this beer I find that I like it a bit less as the years pass.

La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è intenso. Il tetto della bocca porta note di caramello, miele, pane cotto di recente, un accenno di resinoso, agrumi e frutta passita,

Bottle. bottle is minor gusher. Pours a roan brown color with dark red highlights when held to a light. The head i khaki colored and sudsy with great retention and ample lacing. This one is just beautiful to look at fer sure. The aroma is medium in strength with Belgian yeasts, cola and dark fruits. The taste is cola nuts, dork candy and raisins. The palate is full and viscous with soft carbonation. finishes long and semisweet with lingering cola. overall: Decent--top shelf stuff.

Аромат сильный, богатый. Ощущаются темные фрукты. Пиво не сильно пенится, пена с крупными пузырями, четко остается на стенках бокала. Вкус сложный,богатый, не присуще Квадрюпелю. Темные фрукты,карамель,хмель оттенок меда. Послевкусие долгое, очень мягкое. Присутствует кислинка. Пиво шикарное, что говорить. Но если сравнивать с его старшим братом Вествлетерен ,то младший братец получает хорошо пенделя по башке.

Bottle from LCB. Pours a dark mahogany with good lasting beige to tanned head. Aroma of dark sweet malts, caramel, raisins, light spice. Taste starts with dark caramel malts, some molasses, prunes, raisins, banana and light herbs. Sweet with a medicinal bitterness running through. Creamy body with a carbonation that's a touch overdone. Overall though its an excellent complex tasty beer.
