St. Bernardus Abt 12 is widely regarded as one of the best beers in the world. It is therefore no surprise that it is our brewery’s flagship beer, ranked at the very top of the St. Bernardus beer hierarchy. It is brewed in the classic quadrupel style and adheres to the original 1946 recipe. This is a dark beer with a robust head that is ivory in colour. EBC 60.

Bottle from LCB. Pours a dark mahogany with good lasting beige to tanned head. Aroma of dark sweet malts, caramel, raisins, light spice. Taste starts with dark caramel malts, some molasses, prunes, raisins, banana and light herbs. Sweet with a medicinal bitterness running through. Creamy body with a carbonation that's a touch overdone. Overall though its an excellent complex tasty beer.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Dark brown coloured true legend from West Flanders, great spicy taste, warm feeling in the mouth and the roasted malts/caramel taste. An true persenol favorite, and at last rated.

Bottle drunk after the first round designing an actuator assembly to raise a 32 monitor 60cm out of a 45cm table. Quote dark brown, tan head that's respectable but not super long lasting. Nose is tangy, yeastful, lightly molasses-tinted. Flavor is full and sticky but not overly sweet. Nice well blended bitter hint. Huge carb tingles the whole mouth. Great complex beer!
