The Huvila X-Porter has a deep black appearance with a brown head. Creamy, slightly nutty, smooth chocolate malt nose. The taste is similar to its nose but also allows the taste of toffee to come through. The after taste then turns more chocolate with toffee. This is a rarity as not many top-fermented Baltic Porters are made any more. Our “hero” at the San Diego Int’l Beer Festival 2010! It is available on tap and in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. Since 2011, Huvila X-Porter is also available in shops in Estonia through Drink Baar. Last, but not least, Huvila X-Porter is also imported into the US through Shelton Brothers. Name has since changed to Malmgård X-Porter.

Aus der Flasche 2017-04 getrunken. Kräftige dunkle Schokolade und eine fetter Mokkanote domminieren dieses Porter ziemlich. Daher wirkt es mit seinen nur 7% unheimlich dicht.

500 ml. bottle split by 3 as "Huvila X-Porter". Dark brown, low black hue, tanned head that quickly fizzes away. Nose is faint sourish red berries, licorice, herbal, sweet licorice, faintly metallic,... Taste is fizzy, bit thin, herbal, licorice, some red fruit, cacao, overall rather thin, dry, bit fizzy,... About okay, slightly flawed old school UK porter. Body is thin, fizzy, carbonation bit too high. Above average for a Finish beer.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour are strong with heavily roasted malts. Decent oily texture. Lasting bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from biershop.com and split at the EU themed 2nd Ipswich bottle share. Pours black with a big off white head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. Moderate sweetness, heavy roasted bitterness. Medium bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Long bitter finish.

Musta olut ruskealla mokkaisella, aika pienellä vaahdolla.

Bottle. Dark chocolate aroma over coffee with a hint of caramel and nuts. Lots of cocoa taste with a decent bitterness and a matching carbonation and texture. Medium body with a long chocolate palate. Very nice.

From 500 ml bottle courtesy of nuser. Thanks Nils! Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, vinous too, light fruity, licorice, herbal notes, chocolate. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma with some raisins. Light to medium oily body with average carbonation.
