The Huvila X-Porter has a deep black appearance with a brown head. Creamy, slightly nutty, smooth chocolate malt nose. The taste is similar to its nose but also allows the taste of toffee to come through. The after taste then turns more chocolate with toffee. This is a rarity as not many top-fermented Baltic Porters are made any more. Our “hero” at the San Diego Int’l Beer Festival 2010! It is available on tap and in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. Since 2011, Huvila X-Porter is also available in shops in Estonia through Drink Baar. Last, but not least, Huvila X-Porter is also imported into the US through Shelton Brothers. Name has since changed to Malmgård X-Porter.

0,5l bottle at home from trade with Kavu, big thanks. no obvious BB date. black color, small tan head. smells of licorice, spices, herbs, nettle, light charcoal, light roast notes, some caramel, a bit nutty, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. tastes roasted, caramel, licorice, some bitter hebs, nettle, light ash / notes of charcoal, earthy notes, also light nuts. finishes dry with notes of charcoal, light roast and light bitter herbs. good stuff, has a very nice soft silky mouthfeel, rather light carbonation which works quite well for this beer. overall like it very much.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Also bought at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.0%. Black colour, low tan head. Nice aroma of roast malts, roast nuts, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium roast flavour, coffee, dark chocolate, some hops, fairly bitter finish. A top fermented "Baltic" porter? Hardly much different from an American robust porter. Anyway, this is a good Finnish beer.

Kimi Räikkönen egészségére iszom eme baltikus portert a ferraris szerződéshosszabbítás apropóján. Én is szeretek inni, aludni és szarni is.
