Our flagship beer, named after the hard-working neighborhood where Lakefront Brewery was founded. Lands a brilliant amber in the glass and settles with a bubbly, off-white head, releasing mild peppery and floral hop aromas. A hint of caramel malt sweetness up front is checked by a pleasant hop bite and crisp, lager finish. Riverwest Stein: an honest day’s beer.

Slightly hazy dark amber colour with a very dense off-white creamy head. Smells of hops, a bit of sourness, malt and even a slight sweetness. Medium-bodied; Spicey character and taste with a bit of the malt showing through, but hardly any of the hops. Aftertaste fairly bland but pleasing. No really bittering characteristics on the aftertaste at all. Overall, a decent beer...I don't think this is a Vienna...but whatever. I'm very lucky to get a bottle of this...thanks go out to CaptainCougar for sending me the twelve ounce bottle! Thanks Tom :-)

[draught] I had no idea this was a vienna at all, and never would have guessed it either. It's character is much more like a bock. Sweet aroma, caramel and cloves - rusty brown/burnt orange color - the flavor is very full, with caramel, nuts and slight chocolate notes - the finish is smooth, though bitter at times, but this is still a great beer.

Thanks to CaptainCougar for this one. People seem to compare this one with Great Lakes' Eliot Ness but it's not exactly a photo finish in my book. Pours a very clear amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty and a little nutty. Flavor did not have as much rich malt character as I would have liked, but it is easy to drink. There are enough hops in the finish to keep it interesting. I'd get this again but Mr. Ness is still Untouchable as far as I am concerned.

Hazy amber; vienna malts and slight pear fruitiness in the nose. Decent cara-toasty malts; smooth, but seems subdued.
