Saku Tume is Estonia's only strong dark lager, brewed on a combination of pilsner, Munich and caramel malt, as well as burnt sugar. This gives the beer its special dark colour, unique sweet taste and a rich fragrance bouquet.
A characteristic of dark beer is that in order to get a better feel for its taste nuances, it has to be enjoyed at a slightly warmer temperature. Whereas the ideal serving temperature of light beer is considered to be 6-8 °C (straight from the fridge) the ideal temperature for drinking Saku Tume is 11-15°C.

zapach przyjemny, słodowy, karmelowy, chlebowy, spieczona skórka od ciasta, poza tym odrobina ziół. kolor ciemnomiedziany, lekko opalizujący, piana skąpa, beżowa. w smaku pełne, słodowe, słodkie, lekko karmelowe, wyraźnie chlebowe, z lekkimi podpiekanymi nutami. goryczka niewielka, karmelowa i lekko ziołowa. nasycenie średnie.

500ml bottle. Cloudy brown colour with average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty aroma, hints of nougat and toffee. Taste is slightly sugary sweet, caramel malty, nuttily, hints of nougat and toffee.

Punertavan tummanruskea olut beigellä, aika nopeasti häviävällä vaahdolla. Tuoksu makea ja siirappinen, mutta kohtalaisen mieto tälle nenälle. Maku makea, maltainen ja karamellinen. Keskitäyteläinen suutuntuma, hieman hiilihappoa. Makea, varsin hyvä olut pimeneviin syysiltoihin.

Opaque cola color with a tan head. Decent intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and an average carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Dried fruits and toffee in the flavor. A bit to sweet, otherwise quite ok.

Ciemny to nie jest raczej jak cola, lub mocna czarna herbata. Piana kremowa i mala, aromat czekoladowy, w smaku karmel, cukier, aspartam i inne swinstwo. Bardziej dunkela i to taniego przypominal niż ciemnego koźlaka.
