Old rating - A number of cans at a beach house in West Sussex. Decent dark amber fruity malty ale with good balance & well hopped.

0.5 l can @ Mijas. Copper coloured with white head. Slight malty-biscuits aroma, followed by the same notes in taste, but quite faintly. Way too light and watery.

i found this to be very big on the english hops. It had a very pine resin aroma to it, and the flavour was much of the same. There was quite a bit of an odd maltiness to it. I didnt really enjoy it, but i can’t really pinpoint why.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Amber looking ale with some candy taste and like a Mars-bar caramel taste, just great.

Bottle. Clear dark orange/brown with a small white head. Aroma of malts, nuts and raisins. Taste of caramel, nuts, chocolate, toffee, a hint of oranges, raisins and herbs. Distinctive herbal bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Almost creamy mouthfeel. Well I certainly enjoyed this one.

(150324) Re-rate. A small taste @ the flagship Alko, press blind tasting. Now a bit more fruity, spicy even. With hops in the finish. Still pretty good. (080923) 0,5l bottle from K-Supermarket Kuokkala, enjoyed @ Kuokkala. Pours clear amber with a high head. Aroma is sweet malts with caramel. Flavor is sweet malts with caramel, some hops. Good. Not so sure why this warrants a separate entry to the cask version, they're prety much the same beer - albeit this is less creamy, it does have the same fruit and malt aroma and flavour, with a floral bitterness in the finish, all delivered in the guise of a trad amber ale with a frothy white head.

Bottle at home on 2nd October 2022 from Gorillas. Pours russet copper with rapidly disappearing foam and no lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Sweet malts in-mouth with a little fruitiness. A sweet finish of the same. Medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.
