Traditionally, Imperial Stouts, the biggest and boldest of all stouts, were brewed with massive amounts of roasted malts and hops, resulting in a velvety smooth but robust beer characterized by high alcohol content and extremely high hop bitterness. Meeting the challenge of this aggressive, challenging beer style, Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish.

Poured from 355mL can. Black with full tan head. Tons of roast malt, mild chocolate, all around solid beer (and I've finally gotten to try the original yeti base beer after trying 5 variants!). I enjoy original Yeti over the other 5 variants I've tried so far...

Very much towards the bitter side, with sharp dry roastiness. Good beer, clean. Very american hopped. Beer temple ams

Appearance: opaque deep brown to black with a large tan to brown head of good retention. Aroma: roasted barley, citrus hop, dark chocolate, coffee, vinous, cookies. Taste: light sweet, medium bitter. Roast, chocolate, coffee, cookies, vinous, citrus, floral notes. Exceptionally pure brewing. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: medium plus body, average carbonation. Summary: a classic bomb.

Having fun trying all the classics I’ve never gotten around to. This is bitter AF.

I reviewed this beer on RB a long time ago when it was last sold in Wisconsin. They keep losing my reviews. It's really getting old. Appearance is an opaque pitch black with a tan foamy frothy head that just sits there. The aromas are roast, black patent, dark malt, cocoa. Flavors are like nose, somewhat sweet up front but balanced with carbonation and bitterness. Good body and a lingering bitter finish.

Can ordered online from Beautiful Beers in Bury St Edmunds. Drunk at home. Dark brown, almost black opaque with a tiny tan/khaki head. Chocolate, marshmallow, roast coffee, pine and naked booze in the aroma. Sweet initial taste followed by uncompromising hop bitterness, with added notes of citrus peel and more pine in the finish. The bitterness lasts on the tongue long after the sip. Thick, pily body with medium carbonation. A really special imperial stout.
