A beer that has a dominant malty taste. This beer’s origins in a monk’s recipe are reflected in its heartiness. The Pope of Beers, Conrad Seidl, describes it as: “Almost black with a very slight red tone, a sensational, festive foam and truly extraordinary fragrance that at first summons up visions of greaves lard. The first taste is of mild fullness with an accompanying coffee tone, which becomes more dominant with the aftertaste. There is very little of the sweetness that is frequently to be tasted with doppelbock beer.” The Ayinger Celebrator has been ranked among the best beers of the world by the Chicago Testing Institute several times and has won numerous medals.

Dopplebock in its full definition. Brown color, creamy white head,low resistance. Malty aroma. Sweet and spicy taste, some bready feeling. Well balanced, moderate body.

Flasche bei Getränkefeinkost in Berlin. Trübes dunkelbraun-rot. Kein Schaum. Aroma: Banane, Malz, dunkle Früchte, Trauben-Nuss-Schokolade, Pflaume, Bitterschokolade. Sanfter öliger Antrunk. Moderat bis stark Süß, aber insgesamt dezent. Bitterschokolade, Kaffee, alles mehr im Gaumen als im vorderen Mundraum zu schmecken. Bitterkeit versteckt aber vorhanden und entfaltend.

Botlle. Nose is malty, dark fruit, plums, raisin. Taste is dark malts, dough, spice, hint of almond, roast, herbal hop not, touch of chocolate in the body with a bitter finish. Beautifully balanced.

Pours dark brown with reddish hues and a small offwhite head. Aromas of dark fruits, nuts, figs,dates, weak smoke. Taste is nuts, dark fruits, malts, toffee, caramel, weak butter, some pilsner notes light smoke.
