Been wanting to try this for awhile. Almost approaching disappointing. Not quite what I think of when I think of Kölsch. (LOL, jk I never think of Kölsch.)

Aromas of yeast lager with some notes of bread and cereals but especially notes of tomato puree. It smells like commercial beer with additives. Golden and translucent liquid covered with an extremely thick dense and persistent foam. For taste, it's pretty much the same notes as in olfactory with the same impression of canned tomatoes. The notes of cereals and bread are however more pronounced, and we feel a slight herbaceous bitterness at finish. The finish is semi-dry with slight honeyed notes in contribution. I don't know if it's a freshness problem but it's far from a traditional Kolsch. Especially with that unpleasant taste of tomatoes. A:1.238 A:4.286 T:5.420 M:2.875 O:9.75 T:23.569

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours a clear light golden colour with a large thick throthy white head. Light aromas of grains, hay, bread, citrus and floral. Taste has the same light notes from the aroma, more subtle citrus and floral notes with some peppery spice on the finish. Thin to medium body, lively fizzy palate and oily mouthfeel. Ok beer. I have only tried a couple of Kölsch style beers but for now i prefer the one from Reissdorf.
