Drink legendary. This distinct ruby beer’s sweet caramel and fruity aromas tease the taste buds. Brewed with smooth and rich Chocolate and Crystal malts & a blend of Fuggles and Styrian Golding hops. Expect a delicious full-bodied toffee flavour and a fruity finish of figs, raisins and dates.

Re-rate based on my checklist, old score: 6/4/6/3/13=3.2 Smell- weak bit to medium some malt, some acidic tones, yeast, candy. Foam- thin, acidic tones, weak bitter and sour notes in the mix some bit of odd malt as well. Head is medium to large, creamy, brown white color, seems to stick to sides as well. Appearance- unique bottle cap what looks very nice, bottle design both for label and bottle are unique and good looking. This is kind of looks what gets 5 points in appearance. Clear orange, red color, medium-dark, medium carbonation. From- pint glass Taste- acidic bitterness, malt, weak sourness, some toffee what does not work well with other stuff. Some other bit odd tastes, but it seems messy now, it's drinkable, but nothing special. Looks are good, the smell is ok but after that, it goes downhill. Its well behind BBD but seems the one from 2 years ago I liked more...

Pretty middlin' ESB, with a surprising amount of banana and copper mixed in with the bready malts and teensy floral hops. Never grows the deep, fruity undertone you want, instead offering a slight medicinal bitterness and strong toast notes on the finish. Would be okay if it weren't for the continuous metallic backbone that seems off. Nice bottle, though.
