Belgian-style Quad served on draft at the brewery. This beer has a beautiful honey-orange color with a creamy white head. While the color is great, i expected it to be darker for a Quad. The nose has subtle esters/delicate fruit backbone. Taste is a little too assertive, but it has a full mouthfeel and nice malt. The Belgian yeast mingles well with the malts through the mid-palate with the esters again taking stage during the long finish. I rated this higher the first time i had this, but it was not as good on the second try. The 11.8% alcohol seems somewhat hidden for this well balanced beer - but two of these would make the alcohol known. 30 IBUs.
