'Can. Clear amber with a coat of off white head that''s soon less than a coat but never quite disappears. Aroma of grapes, prunes, dough, bubblegum. Just medium bodied, carbonation is nicely just below moderate. Not very flavouful. Really lacks presence. Not that sweet with a dryish and fairly bitter finish. Yeast, bubblegum, dough, stewed fruit. Some coriander at the end. Weak, but not foal.'

10 oz draft pour at Lost Dog Cafe - North Arlington. Poured a mostly clear caramel color with a small off-white head. Aroma was dried fruits, caramel, candi fruit notes. Flavor was similar, sweet malts, dried fruit. Juicy. Tasty.

Pour is a hazy iced tea lookalike with a small white head. Aroma is some candi sugar and a dark fruit like a toasted fig. Flavor is toffee, more candi sugar a decent dark fruit and a spicy yeast phenol. This had a heavier mouthfeel than I thought from the look of the beer. This is a pretty tasty dark Belgian ale and the alcohol is hidden well. A quad in a can what will they think of next?

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear copper with a near white head. Aroma of slightly cooked barley and kandi and clove/banana. Med + body. Flavor is malty, something like a tripel, with kandi, clove, arguably banana, and yeast. Heat is a little bothersome. Pretty decent drink overall. I'm likin' it more and more.

Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Sweet malt and psice aroma. Sweet malt flavor with spice, yeast, and light orange/summer fruit. Medium-plus bodied. Alcohol present, but doesn’t seem this high. Yeast, spice, and sweet malt lingers with light esters.

Belgian-style Quad served on draft at the brewery. This beer has a beautiful honey-orange color with a creamy white head. While the color is great, i expected it to be darker for a Quad. The nose has subtle esters/delicate fruit backbone. Taste is a little too assertive, but it has a full mouthfeel and nice malt. The Belgian yeast mingles well with the malts through the mid-palate with the esters again taking stage during the long finish. I rated this higher the first time i had this, but it was not as good on the second try. The 11.8% alcohol seems somewhat hidden for this well balanced beer - but two of these would make the alcohol known. 30 IBUs.
