Odin's Tipple was meant to be a strong beer, but we changed our minds...its still strong but we wont follow the mega strong trend. It should be possible to make great beer without the extreme alcohol potency. Odin's Tipple is now approx 11% abv, it’s a dark almost black beer from lots and lots of chocolate malt. Its the malt that contributes the flavor...no added coffee or anything else, Its got a great body without being old engine oil and still very drinkable due to the wild yeast we use. This beer is made with a single strain of wild yeast and the recipe is dead simple.

Bottle. Cola, coffee, dark chocolate malt, and green grass aroma. Dark brown-black with moderate brown head. Sweet tangy red cherry/raisin, dark chocolate malt, and light astringent flavor. Body light especially for an imperial stout. Pretty good but not a typical impy stout.

Draught. Black colour, brown head. Aroma is intensive cherry, praline, alcohol, some coffee. Full body, quite heavy. Very good. Previous rating: 5 Aug 2014 Bottle. Aroma is intensive dark chocolate and coffee, some liquorice and alcohol. Black colour, brown head. Too much alcohol for me. So-so. 5/4/4/3/14

Black with a brown head - Good malt aroma with some licorice - Good malt body with some licorice and cofee notes with some bitterness as well, with some alcohol coming through - Finish is malt some coffee notes with hints of bitterness and some alcohol heat that lasts for a littel while - This was good

Pours dark with creamy brown head. Not-so-full-bodied, alcool well hidden. Sweet taste with aroma of burnt barbecue or bacon.

Nice solid Imperial Stout, nothing too crazy. Great color from the pour into the tulip glass, lovely aroma of dark chocolate, coffee beans, roasted nuts. Taste was very similar, a little bitter like dark chocolate but the finish was very smooth.
