Närmast svart med stort ljusbrunt skum. Stor doft! En snäll lättdrucken men ändå väldigt smakrik IS.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours quite black with a foamy/bubbly 3 finger tan head. Aroma of wonderful dark milk chocolate. The aroma is very chocolate with some vanilla and a hazelnut aspect. It’s a little woody, bitter, but the chocolate carries on. Oak is detectable in the finish. But the chocolate is the thing. It just keeps being chocolate.

500ml Bottle: Thick full tan head that left blankets of lacing down my snifter. Aroma of malt, chocolate, vanilla, light roasted notes of coffee. Flavor is light to medium sweet. The flavor is moderately roasty with notes of chocolate, mild coffee, vanilla and oak, hints of caramel and liquor. Fairly dry finish. FANTASTIC smooth, velvet mouthfeel. Most of the ABV is hidden really well. I could drink large amounts of this. Under rated if you ask me. If you can find this, grab a bottle. I hope one day I have the talent to brew an Impy stout like this. Very well balanced and every bit worth the $9.00 I paid at Nikki’s Liquors in Providence, RI.

Copenhagen Beer Festival.Opaque blackstout. Rich and airy. Rich malt that tastes barrel aged (but isn’t). No bitterness or roasty nasties! Nice!

/11/11/11/9/11
