500 ml bottle @ Patricks. Pitch black body with a big, stable, foamy brown head. Nice, strong aroma of mocha, smooth roasted malt, coffee and some citric fruit. Flavor is sweet, smooth, roasted malt, mocha, coffee, dry fruit and balanced bitterness. Fine body and a long aftertaste of pleasant roast, bitterness and mocha. A very fine and pleasant imp. Stout.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a reddish tinge and a medium beige head. Aroma is quite metallic, with roasted malts, bitter coffee, and some burnt fruits. Flavour featured roasted malt prominently with none of that metallic nose, some dark fruits and sweet chocolate malts - medium sweetness and quite high roast. A very good by-the-books imperial stouts.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Can’t remember if rené brought this or not, but thanks either way. Dark brown appearance with a tan head. A bit peaty smoky, charred, roasty malty aroma. Burnt, a bit organic smoky, light anise, chocolate, roasty malty flavor. This one is quite nice.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Dark chocolate and vanilla aromas. Dry and astringent with chocolate and mild pit fruit upfront with a lasting vanilla and espresso finish.
