Noch ein Bier aus einer BierIndex-Box, also auch schon vor längerer Zeit genossen. Ein Bier, wo mir das norwegische Wort kraftig, was irgendwas zwischen scharf und kräftig bedeutet. Es ist ein belgisches Tripel-Bier, dem Chilli zugegeben wurde. Durch das trübe Bier wird der scharfe Effekt aber ein bisschen gepuffert und es entsteht ein interessantes Geschmacksfeuerwerk. Es kommen die süßlichen Malz- und Gewürzaromen zum Chilli, das ja eigentlich auch ein Gewürz ist. Ein nicht alltägliches, aber durchaus gut trinkbares Bier.

Duft av karamell og humle. Gul brun farge. Lite skum langs kant. God smak av humle og karamell. Med en liten smak av chilli i ettersmaken.

Fra flaske på Cafe Viking, mai-13, delt med Johnne: søtlig aroma (med litt gjær og krydder) som en tripel skal ha, farge&skum er bra. Smaken likeså, og med "a lingering afterburn" for å sitere Monty Python wine appreciation. Hot&sweet, en annerledes øl som er vel verdt et besøk.

Bottle. Pours light hazy dark amber with small offwhite head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toffee, apples, dried apricot and cinnamon. Taste is heavy sweet and faint acrid towards the end. Body is oily with lively carbonation. Finish is long and sweet with notes of cane sugar, caramel, fruit, anise and white wine. I didn?t find the chili though.

Sample at SBWF 2012. Hazy brownish with a small head. Mostly malt and some fruit in this one. Not as much chili as expected. A bit bland.

Aroma is sweetish with malt, some ripe fruits and caramel. Flavour has some ripe fruits, toffee and caramel. Finishes with nice burning chili. Nothing to do with tripel, feels like a malty German beer with chili.

Tap at CBF 2012. Light spicy aroma. Yeasty flavor, berries, caramel, very slight chili burn retronasal. Mellow sweet mouthfeel.

Bottle at home. 1 year old. Amber colour and almost clear. Small off-white head that disappers fast. The aroma is a mixture of oak and leather. More wood and leather in the mouth, and berries. Towards the end a dominant chili touch that lasts. Slick and somewhat silky mouthfeel. Overall a beer with much taste, but I feel there is too much chili. Nevertheless it is really a one of a kind beer, and I would like to try this with tasty food next time.

50cl bottle-shared by jtclockwork-pours a light tan head with hazy yellow color. Aroma is fruit, chili, light malt. Taste is fruit/ some spice hops, chili, medium malt-caramel. Finishes with a nice easy chili warming.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber with off white head. Nose/taste of soft non spicy chili pepper, caramel, sweet malt, lemongrass and apple skin. Medium body. Smooth.
