Bottle (thanks to stobbe74) at Leighton’s Aug 11 tasting. It pours hazy deep amber, with a thin, foamy white head. The nose is red chili, caramel, wood, yeast and sweet malt. The taste is caramel, pear drops, red apple, wood, bread, yeast, bell pepper and underlying red chili. Just the right amount of chili - good balance. Medium body and moderate carbonation. An interesting brew.

Bottle 500ml @ home
Pours hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, yeast and spices. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a very well rounded malty sweetness and pleasant spicyness from the chili. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle at a tasting thanks to Paul. Pours a lightly hazy, rich gold with a small, white head. Malty aroma, light berries, sugar, faint yeast. Very sweet flavor, mild yeast and caramel, some bread, chili creeps in at the end. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, some mild fruit, golden raisins, toast and bread, very nice and just enough chili. I actually really enjoyed this. Good work.

Draught at Cockney Pub, Århus
Golden color. Some vegetables aroma, roasted malts, dusty cereals. Sweetish flavor, lightly sour (is there anything bad with this beer?) and a moderate chili bite in the end, that at least is not disturbing. But at the same time, I can’t see the point.

The chili flavour fits in surprisingly well. However, the other flavours are quite light to start with, which is not exactly what I expect from a tripel. Nonetheless a great experience.

Probably this beer would have been a very average tripel, with almost nothing that stood out. Because of the chili it’s not. If you don’t like hot&spicy (like me) don’t even try this.

Pours amber into a snifter. Off-white head with little retention recedes to sim surface. Sweet bell pepper and caramel aromas. Thins with sweet caramel upfront turning to mild chili before the lasting warm sugary finish.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, yeast, and chilies, leading to a dry finish, where the bite from the chili lasts on the palate.
