Dette er snop, sier dr Melberg denne fine maikvelden på Mandag i annen. Og den er sannelig lett å helle innpå, farlig lett for omdreiningshastigheten. Vi skåler for en tam dag på jobben i morgen!

Tap@Taphouse, CPH (30/04/14) - dark brown pour with small tan head. Dark dried fruits combine with sweet dark malts, caramel chocolate, nutty, brown sugar, smooth mouthfeel. Lovely stuff this.

Süßer schwerer Malzantrunk. Geringer Alkohol, dunkel bananige Noten. Intensiv malzig, zum Ende abnehmend und dadurch runder, weiterhin fruchtig. Gelungenes, zum Ende etwas zu alkoholisches Bier. 11/11/12/9/13/11

Bottle - Dark sugars and dark fruit. Dark brown, almost opaque with no head. Dark fruits and some slight bitterness. A bit medicinal and boozey but still pretty decent.

Draught. Weak aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Big stable creamy light brown head. The flavour is malty and sweetish with a good bready note. Vinous touch as well. Flavourful and well-balanced.

Dubiously satirical bottle. Pretty much black with a light tan head that lasts. Quite surprising. Aroma of soy sauce, treacle, raisins, figs, prunes. Syrupy mouthfeel with low carbonation. Sweet, bitter and salty, with dried fruits, singed toffee, spices, quite a lot of bitterness. Soy sauce less prominent than the first whiff suggested. Obviously strong, but not much heat from the alcohol - just a little with some sweet shop spices at the end. Not much like strong dark Belgian beers and kind of crude, but compelling.

500mL bottle, brought back from the UK by Matts_Property, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small-to-medium tan head. Aroma of caramel malts, brown sugar, candied sugar, some dried fruits and toasted bread. Flavour of Belgian yeast, toasted bread, sweet caramelized malts, a bit of the dried fruits and an alcohol burn. The flavours sort of become muted toward the end, leaving a dry toasted bread and semi-sweet finish. Not very complex for a quad. Decent, but lacking and seemingly uninspired.
