Motor oil black pour, big mocha head. Deep aroma of sweet bitter roasted malts. Intense burnt espresso, and some smoke, and soy. Viscous mouthfeel, and an intense bitter finish with a long lasting coffee finish.

500 mL bottle poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. Awesome find at my super local. Bold coffee and dark chocolate notes. A somewhat rich aroma. Cocoa, smooth. Lots of barrel here, smooth chocolate, coffee. Expected a far more intense flavor combi here, but its smooth and well balanced with nothing too overpowering. An excellent imperial here.

Shared at the Cotteridge Convention 2019. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, red berry fruits, strawberry cheesecake, vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, light oily, fruity, boozy palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

$10.99 500 ml bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, oatmeal, light char. Flavor is sweet dark chocolate, slightly burnt coffee grounds, caramel. Definitely on the sweet side, but not too much so.

Bought at Liquor Shed. No dating found. My bottle says 10.7%abv.
Pours a really dark brown, almost black. Short lived head of tan foam, no lacing to speak of.
Big coffee and oatmeal notes in the smell but lots of maple syrup like sweetness takes over after a few whiffs.
The taste is way too sweet for my palate. Coffee and oatmeal are overwhelmed by the maple syrup like sweetness. Hot as hell and now I'm getting some cinnamon flavours.
Full bodied with just the right amount of carbonation.
I realized that this would be a sipper because of the abv but it's a VERY slow sipper for me. Worthy of ~$12 for the 500ml bottle? Yeah.
