Bottle. A- Roasty, tobacco, cocoa, mild dark fruit. A- Black color, black liquid, light brown head. T- Chocolate, coffee, tobacco, roasty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Balanced and fairly complex for being a straight forward beer. Not sure if it's any better than either of the two base beers but it is certainly equally as good.

(500ml bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours black with a small, fine and stable dark tan head and lots of lace. Aroma of caramel, acidic roasted malt, moderate coffee that's a little earthy but kind of bright and fruity, toasted nuts, hints of chocolate. Flavour has a little more depth but is still dominated by kind of bright, fruity caramel notes, coffee is lightly earthy, quite fruity as well, and moderately toasty. The back end is drier and roastier though not to the degree of the Amager component, with notes of spent coffee, cacao, earth, black pepper and ash. A bit on the light side of medium bodied, with slightly above average carb, light alcohol. A bit of a puzzle, this feels less rich than either of the components to the blend, especially Brunch. It's quite solid, but I'd take a Brunch any day.

Tap at CBFZ 2017, served way too cold... Pours black with a beige foam. Aroma is booze, coffee, liquorice, chocolate. Body is heavy and sweet, strong roasted malts, bitter and intense with coffee and liquorice flavours. Far away from the milk/chocolate/sugar side. Lingering roast palate. Very good.

Draught at Amager Bryghus. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet, roasted aroma with dark malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel malts, roasted notes. Taste is bitter-roasted. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes lasting dry and roasted bitter with dark malts and coffee. Gorgeous Stout.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small to average, thick & dense, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, mocha, coffee, some treacle, a touch of peat, smoke and bitumen. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, slightly chocolately, minimally nutty, notes of coffee, treacle, a touch of toffee; full body, slightly alcoholic finish. Not as harmonious and balanced as the Bourbon BA version.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle. Pitch black with a beige layer. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, some hazelnut and a touch of vanilla. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some hazelnut, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little roasty finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation Very nice!

Pours dark brown, bit of beige foam. Aroma has coffee, chocolate and roast. Taste is coming from powerful milk chocolate, bit if booze, prickly roast and dark plums. Very juicy actually. Some ashy roast in the finish.

3 year aged bottle shared. Thanks Juan! Huge chocolate syrup nose with coffee, bakers chocolate, dark fruit and cherry all present. Insanely complex on the palate with the chocolate just dominating. The booze is there, but not overly so. Nutella on the finish with lots more chocolate. Sweet with some dryness on the finish. Wonderful and enjoyable stuff.
