Medium, lightly yellow head, fed by fine pearling in foxy-orange beer. Citrussy & resiny hops, as well as a bit of parsley; mango and caramel. Hopbitter, hopresins, citrus, cakebottom, faint fusels, caramel-covered leather. Very serious but agreable hopbite, strange, near-sweet glimpses underneath. Well-bodied, beyond slick to oily. Great balance. Beautiful beer, by the best I experienced from Three Floyds.

Small white head. Amber body. Fruity grapefruity resiny aroma. Dry-sweetish resiny citric fruity taste with malty caramel notes. Mild, smooth mouthfeel with alcohol heat. Dry citric velvety malty wooden caramelly aftertaste with peppery notes. Excellent! Ɛ.66l bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen.)

Amber color, with red shades. Initially the aroma has a very fruity touch, but reducing quickly. Medium body, with good caramel flavor, sweetish, with a good but not excessive bitterness; in the end the fruitness is still present. Good but not impressive.

Bottle. A big hop aroma, a Three Floyds hallmark, immediately draws attention to nice things to come. Clear amber body with fizzy, white head. The aroma is earthy and floral with hints of citrus — lemon, orange — pine, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Taste of caramel and toasted grain with a hint of lemon and orange. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Not sure where the oats are, but not sure I really care. Everything comes together nicely in this beer. Very enjoyable especially at 10,600 feet near Amethyst Lake in Utah’s Wasatch National Forest. Bottle from Archer Liquor. Pours copper with a smallish white head. I’m getting substantial citrus and floral for aroma. Medium plus body with soft carbonation. Flavor is lots of floral and citrus hop over barely detectable caramel. Except that the hop departs and sweetness appears. That’s the cycle for each sip. This is not for quaffing. Finish is really hoppy, and the floral reduces the harshness of the bitter, but it’st really hoppy. Oat wine? Maybe that’s why the sweetness is less than expected. Really hoppy for a barley wine. If the hop is resin, the floral must be messin’ with my taster. Really like it. With time I can almost believe resin. Not quite though.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops and alcohol as the strongest as well as sweet malt. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt, spices, perfume, alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. The alcohol burns in the throat. I’m not so happy with the spicy/perfumy notes and find it too alcoholic.
