This is the OG (original gangstah) of our Black Damnation series and the one that started it all. This beer is a blend of Struise Black Albert and De Molen Hel & Verdoemenis imperial stouts. Both beers on the very edge of darkness, of which the brewers' minds both sit on the verge of insanity.

Black Damnation is black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and boasts massive taste. This brew is the perfect marriage of the sweet, unxious flavors from Black Albert and the bitter charcoal and coffee profile from the Hel & Verdoemenis. Good luck finding some, the last batch was made in 2010!

50% of Black Albert was used with another 50% of H&V. Black coloured beer with just a sliver of a dark tan head. Aroma is glorious & full of coffee, brown sugar, dark fruity chocolate. Flavours of H&V are quite evident, charcoal and mineral notes, chocolate, cocoa powder. Good coffee chocolate finish with good balancing bitterness and hops & sugar in the after taste. 2009 vintage 12% abv 2010 vintage 13% abv.

15/07/2011 33 cl bottle @ Klaas' &Tims collaboration stout tasting - BB: 3/2014 (2011-334) Thanks to Klaas for sharing the bottle!

Dark brown beer, beige creamy head, unstable, very little adhesive. Aroma: very distinct and pronounced. Reminds me of a "Mennen" deodorant stick. Soy sauce, tobacco and cigarettes. MF: light carbon, full body. Taste: caramel, smoke, soy sauce, mocha, sour berries. Aftertaste: more sourness, citrus, roastedness, soy sauce again, milk chocolate. Nope, this is not cutting it for me.
