05/03/2011 - bottle @ Alvinne Craft Beer Festival (2011-86)

Little cloudy reddish to brown beer, light beige head. Aroma: coffee powder, tobbaco, burnt oven, wood. MF: nice carbon, medium body. Taste: a little sour, some caramel. Aftertaste: some gentle coffee mocha. Good beginners stout. Me likes.

Bottle, shared by OleR. A big diminishing off-white head sits on top of a murky brown body. Lactic, roasted aroma with some chocolate and a touch of licorice. Roasted, slighlty sour flavor with chocolate and some licorice. Medium body, nice carbonation. The finish is roasted and with chocolate. A beer that is a bit strange, but also nice. Rating: 6-3-7-4-14-3.4. 100820

Bottle. It’s an unclear, reddish to brown beer with a dense, off-white to beige head. Slightly roasted nose with caramel and some milky, earthy notes. The flavor is more roasted than the aroma, and with the same caramel, milky sourness and earthyness. Medium body and quite nice carbonation. Roasted in the end. A nice and tasteful beer. 110401

On tap at De Molen Borefts beer festival. Great flavour for such a low % beer, dark with a milky flavour and hint of chocolate

Very nice, thick & dense cream-beige head, very stable over near-black beer. Chocolate & leafy garden herbs, roasted notes. Roasted, cigarette ashes, and a dull - sorry, mild - sweetness that is no doubt the lactose. Like chocolate sauce that remained running after cooling off. Very well-bodied; full, velvety, creamy feel. Excellent low-alcohol beer; one can easily grasp the idea that once, this was considered a life-sustaining, integral part of nourishment.

Big bottle bought at Ølbutikken and shared with Skinnyviking. Pours a big, beige head, slowly fading over a cloudy, dark brown body. Smell of grainy malts and milk chocolate. Lactose, sweet liquorice and grainy malts in flavour. Easy to drink, but not too thin (hotel room drinking session, Copenhagen 07.11.2010).

33cl bottle as a gift from Menno, so thanks very much. Very dark brown, thick lasting beige. Some toasted nut aroma. Some lactic flavour but it’s quite subtle, more nutty malt rather than anything else. Quite drinkable though and I quite enjoyed it. Very decent mild.
