Every year on the 24th of February, the birthday of "Charles the fifth", the Brewery brews the Gouden Carolus "Cuvee of the Emperor" in a limited quantity and with an eye on the highest quality and tradition. This unique brewing, with only extra fine Belgian hops and with a higher alcohol level, guarantees a better evolution in the time, than the already known Gouden Carolus Classic. The 75cl bottles are closed with a quality cork. Excellent to store several years. This exceptional ale ages well, developing a refined complexity and intense aromas. With powerful notes of roasted malts, caramel and plums, its surprisingly soft and fruity aroma combines a warm roundness with a refreshing taste. An imperial brew to cherish and enjoy in moderation.

wicked aroma of ripe fruits, plums, apples, raisins, and cherries, also an oustanding sweet bready yeasty aroma. Like a great sweet load of sugar loaf. Flavor is very sweet, but also has a nice bitterness. Lots of flavors, more fruit, some licorice, more sweet breadiness. SOme vanilla lingers, with some sweet malts. Jesus, this is a party! wow. incredible beer! very complex!

Aroma of malt, caramel, plum, sweet fruits, hint of chocolate, candy sugar, spicy notes, raisins. Flavour is quite sweet, a bit too syrupy for me. Thick and full bodied. Nice ’dessert beer’.

Аромат к сожалению слабейшее место в этом великолепном напитке. Слегка пряный чересчур сильно чувствуется хлебные дрожжи. Цвет темно-коричневый, прозрачный не туманный. Пена не сильная но стойко держится.Вкус на удивление хлебный,хорошо ощущаются темные фрукты, хлебные нотки и карамель. Само пиво среднее на тело и слегка маслянистое и очень сливочное. Послевкусие приторно сладкое, карамель, коричневый сахар опять же темные фрукты. Карамель мгновенно засыхает на губах.

Shared bottle at home. Pours dark copper with dense off-white head. Aroma of raisins, vanilla, caramel, plums, ethanol, vinous, some phenolic notes. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness. Medium bodied.
