Harrie is an accessible blond beer characterized by saison yeast. The daring use of different spices; szechuan pepper, mustard seed, juniper, and timut pepper give a funky twist to this traditional beer. A spicy beer with refreshing citrus flavors and a dry aftertaste.

Bottle at 100 piv. Not very good visuals - instantly disappearing head and slightly hazy rusty-golden colour. Everything else seems to be fine though. Intense spicy aroma with ginger and coriander and the same stuff in flavour. Also some nutmeg. Balanced and tasty. Very good.

On tap at Kaapse. Clear, pale amber with a thin, creamy, tan head. Sweetish, fruity-malty aroma of peach, honeydew and strawberry. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity taste of elderflower, citrus, gooseberry and hints of honey, followed by a short, medium bitter, grapefruity finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice.

330 ml bottle. Unclear golden body with a medium sized white head. Light and delicate aroma of fruit, spices and pale malt. Flavor is mild malty with spices, yeast and moderate bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste. Nothing extra going on here, but a decent, easy drinkable Saison.

Tap at Kaapse. Pours hazy golden with a small off white head. Aroma of peppery saison yeast, hops, citrus and light malt. Flavor is light sweet with roughly the same notes, more to the peppery side.. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Hazy blond with thick creamy head. Aroma and flavour have a herbal tone. Maybe it’s gale/gagel. It’s a strong taste detracting somewhat from an otherwise clean and refreshing beer.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a big and firm, slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly grainy and slightly caramelly malty aroma with fruity notes of citrus, peach, backed by herbal hoppy and slightly mouldy spice. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Dry-ish malty taste with traces of caramel, almost overpowered by herbal-spicy hops; dry and a bit harsh hop bitter finish and little farmhouse character. Nevertheless likeable. 12.V.15
