3 Fonteinen “Intens Rood” (Intense Red) is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on lambic for at least six months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic, and is then blended again with more lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 450 grams of fruit per liter. The kriek lambic ferments in the bottle for at least another six months and develops into an intense wine-like fruit lambic. This bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley!

A deep dark red Kriek with aroma of dark cherries, lactic acid, Epsom salts, light Brett, very nice and complex. In mouth, a nice tart sweet cherries with light acidity, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice and smooth.. Not intense though.

Flaska från Hopt, provning med ölsällskapet. Årgång 2017. Riktigt mörk, djupröd-lila med tjusigt mörkrosa-vitt skum. Förvånansvärt snäll och dov i aromen med toner av körsbär, mandel, körsbärskärnor, syltade körsbär. Även i kroppen och smaken ganska snäll och len. Låg kolsyra, nästan fyllig och krämig. Syrligheten är låg. Körsbär i förgrunden tillsammans med lite bittra toner från körsbärskärnor och mandel. Annat än jag förväntat mig, men fortfarande riktigt trevlig.

75cl bottle at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Assemblage no. 35, 2016/17. Pours a wonderful deep red, looking almost like wine, with very limited pink foam. Aroma is intense of cherries and Brett. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is very sour, with some sweetness in the background. Finish is fairly long.
